This is not bad. But you have to think about and improve work in this direction. Orders shall not be less than now," - said the president. "It's important that we have the prospect. We are working hard to raise the level of order to increase the product range. For products to be competitive in price and quality" - Viktor Yanukovych stressed. He recalled that before the state order for LAZ was about 20%, but in recent years this figure is growing. "We are going in the right direction", - concluded the President.

Hispano has transferred 13 electric vehicles ACE model with the intention of offering internal transport services within the EXPO area. ACE model has been developed by TATA Motors in India and these are the first prototypes running in Spain, although commercialization opportunities are been explored nowadays.

For this opportunity, Hispano has converted these electric ACE model for specific transport services for EXPOAGUA, concretely: 3 vehicles for health functions, 8 for goods transportation and other materials, and 2 vehicles for VIP personalities transportation services.

In regards to the technical specifications, ACE model has a range of 48kms, and a maximum speed is 40KM/h. The vehicle is charged through the standard electric net and its motor power is 5.2 Kw. Furthermore, it has a pay load of 500 kgs. One of the main characteristics is that the ACE model is RHD with the aim of increase the functionality of the vehicle and to help users to carried out much easier their activities.

In conventional drive systems, the mechanical energy developed by the internal combustion engine (ICE) drives the wheels through a transmission. Some of the energy delivered to the drive wheels is used for acceleration. When brakes are applied, the kinetic energy of the vehicle is converted mostly to heat in the brake pads, resulting in the wear and tear of the brakes and wasteful energy consumption.

Depending on the application, more than half of the energy delivered to the drive wheels is dissipated in the brake pads.

Hybrid Drive System

In hybrid drive systems, an electric motor is used to provide some (parallel hybrid) or all (series hybrid) of the power to the drive wheels. This lowers energy consumption and increases the efficiency of the electric power supplied by the electric motor, compared to the mechanical energy of a conventional ICE.

Hybrid drive systems can also recapture the kinetic energy converted to heat during braking, known as regenerative braking. The recaptured energy can be stored or used for acceleration. This energy “recycling” increases fuel efficiency and reduces wasteful energy consumption, also leading to lower emissions.
